Polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5. It’s up to YOU to decide. This coming Tuesday, December 5, Fargo residents will have the opportunity to vote in a special election to determine if FARGODOME should undergo a remodel and expansion project that will include a Fargo-Moorhead metro community convention center addition. The funding sources for the proposed project are a 1/4% sales tax for 20 years and a 3% lodging tax on hotel and motel room rentals for 20 years. A 60% voter approval is required to pass this measure. A "Yes" vote means you support the remodel and expansion by approving taxes to fund the project: 1/4% Sales Tax for 20 years and a 3% Lodging Tax on hotel and motel room rentals for 20 years. A "No" vote means you do not support the addition of Sales and Lodging Tax to fund the proposed project. If you are unable to vote in-person, you can still cast a vote on this important issue. Absentee ballots are available at FargoND.gov/VoteDec5 and must be postmarked by December 4, 2023. 📫 Your voice matters. Mark your calendars to vote on December 5!
